The China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo lifted the curtain up in Changsha last month. Yang Jiechi, Director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Committee, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony and declared the commencement of the Expo.

Under the theme of "new start, new opportunities and new accomplishments", the Expo centered on food and agricultural products, medical health, infrastructure, financial cooperation, and held China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Achievement Exhibition, African Brand Commodity Exhibition, Domestic and Foreign Trade Integration Exhibition, as well as China-Africa Food and Agricultural Products Cooperation Forum, China-Africa Medical and Health Industry Cooperation Forum, China-Africa Industrial Park Promotion Meeting.  

Guests from 40 African countries including Algeria, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa and Senegal attended.
