Recently, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles convened its 7th Membership Congress and the first session of the seventh Council in Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. The meeting was attended by over 350 individuals, including Cao Jiachang, President of the Chamber, Vice Presidents Zhang Xinmin and Zhang Xi'an, the Deputy Mayor of Nantong, leaders from the Ministry of Commerce’s Foreign Trade Department, and representatives from business departments in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Hebei, and other provinces, as well as delegates from member enterprises. Zhu Dongfeng represented our company at the meeting.

The conference reviewed reports on the work of the Textile Chamber and elected members of the seventh Council and the second Board of Supervisors through a secret ballot. Cao Jiachang was elected as the Chairman of the seventh Council, with Zhang Xinmin as the Vice Chairman and Secretary-General, and Zhang Xi'an as Vice Chairman. Nineteen enterprises, including Oriental International, SUMEC Textile & Light Industry, Jiangsu Soho, Guotai Group, Weiqiao Textile, and Zhejiang Textiles Group, were elected as Deputy Chairman Enterprises of the seventh Council. Chinatex Corporation Limited was elected as the Chairman of the second Board of Supervisors, with ALIC and NUTEX as Deputy Supervisor Units, and Jiangsu High Hope and ZHEJIANG  ORANGE  D′OR  GARMENTS  CO.,LTD as Supervisor. Zhu Dongfeng, ALIC’s President, was unanimously elected as the Deputy Supervisor of the second Board of Supervisors.

During the meeting, representatives from our company engaged in discussions and negotiations with leaders of the Chamber, officials from the Commerce Department, and delegates from various enterprises.
