The Anhui Provincial Business Conference was held in Hefei on January 17, 2024. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Director Yang Benqing, with heads of various departments of the Commerce Department, directors of municipal commerce bureaus, leaders of development zones, representatives of domestic and foreign trade and foreign economic enterprises, and representatives of various business associations, totaling more than 200 participants. As one of the five invited foreign trade companies, ALIC’s President Zhu Dongfeng represented the company at the meeting.

The year of 2024 will witness Anhui implement a project to leapfrog in foreign trade, aiming to create "dual billion" export sectors in automobiles and electronic information, and "dual five hundred billion" export-oriented industrial clusters in photovoltaic storage and smart home appliances. Through the "Anhui Goes Global" initiative, the province seeks to achieve synergies between foreign trade and foreign economy, boost the growth of foreign trade, and promote the identification work of top 10 and top 50 cross-border e-commerce industrial parks and enterprises at the provincial level, maintaining a growth rate of more than 20% in cross-border e-commerce transaction volume. Furthermore, it aims to expand digital trade and enhance the construction capacity of national digital service export bases.

There is a significant gap between ALIC and counterparts in the province in terms of developing new export products, promoting innovative development in foreign trade, improving the level of green and digital trade, and enhancing competitiveness. The task ahead is both significant and challenging.
