This year is the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations for Sino-Germany, and the two countries held the activity of "Sino-Germany’s 2012 cultural year". In September, “Anhui Week” was held in Hanover of Germany by Anhui province.

The representatives of ALIC attended “the cooperation meeting of Anhui and Niedersachsen”. Niedersachsen is located in the northern of Germany, being the second largest state with a population of more than 8 million, and its industry is mainly depend upon Automobile-manufacturing. Meanwhile, Niedersachsen always keeps friendly relationship with Anhui province.

For ALIC, Germany is the largest market in Europe.
